Beautiful decor, gardens, and building. Excellent breakfast buffet with variety. Kind and attentive staff. Lovely colonial and Javanese decor.
Nothing all excellent.

It was worth its 3 stars. A superior hotel in the nice location with helpful staff. We liked the amenities, such as climate control, a writing table and ironing facilities. Moreover, there was free Wi-Fi...

During my Xmas stay at this hotel, I enjoyed the lush green garden area and the friendly staff. the garden had a calming effect and made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise. I also appreciated being close to the airport, as it made my travel arrangements easier. the hotel provided transport and airport transfers at a reasonable rate, which was a nice bonus.
The downside of my Xmas stay was the uncomfortable beds and outdated bathroom. the duvets and towels also needed updating.

Calm place, clean, nice building (stylish, typical), big room, shuttle to the center, security service even for passing the street, very friendly staff
A very noisy minibar. Staff: friendly and helpful but (most of them) should improve their english. Breakfast: several times there were no more glasses, plates; some times no more juice, eggs, fruit and other food and not replaced or very late.

It was ok for the price, the restaurant of the hotel was very good, though. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Our room was close to the street, so it was noisy. The breakfast was poor for an european. The jam was bad. The choice was good, though. And the hotel was split in two, the reception and breakfast on one side, the room over the street, so we had to cross it each time we wanted to eat or somthing similar.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel with a traditional vibe. The staff was courteous and attentive. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, especially the pretty gardens with cute little bridges. The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short walk to local street food stalls and temples.
Nothing for us.

Not much.
My room was not ready until around 5:00 p.m. although I was assured I could check in at 2:00 p.m. The service in the restaurant was atrocious. On the first day we waited nearly an hour for lunch. We were the only people in the restaurant. We were woken at 5:00 a.m. by a large group of people using the hotel's parking lot to film what appeared to be an exercise video. The bathrooms are run down to the point of seeming unclean, although I think they were. Lastly, the hotel is significantly further from the heart of the city than their blurb indicates. This was annoying.

The hotel is situated in a great area, away from the bustling Maliaboro commercial area, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The attention to detail in the hotel's decor, with a mix of Javanese and Balinese styles, adds a unique and charming touch to the overall ambiance. The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities, including a patio or terrace that overlooks the beautiful garden.
All was perfect, no improvements needed.

This hotel is a hidden gem! The traditional touch is simply charming, making the stay really special. Be sure to visit the beautifully relaxing gardens and take a dip in the nice swimming pool. , the courteous and helpful staff make you feel welcome right away. The breakfast served here is simply delicious, with an array of options to choose from. And if you're looking for a central location at a reasonable price, this is the place for you!
While this hotel has so many great things going for it, there are a few areas that could be improved. The bathroom felt a bit outdated and could use some upgrading.

Wonderful, friendly staff; amazing attention to detail - jamu lady and gentle (live) gamelan at breakfast, tasteful interior decor and lovely gardens, fish pond, lotus flowers (doesn't feel like you are in a city of 3 million when you are pottering around in them); good breakfasts with freshly prepared food; nice swimming pool (towels provided); security to help you cross the road... numerous restaurants and warung in the street and connecting streets and other useful little toko (get some bespoke rubber stamps made; or a haircut?) An easy ten minute ride into Jl Malioboro on hotel shuttle or cab. We stayed here a week and really enjoyed the luxury.
